Brandon grew up on the west coast of British Columbia, playing hockey and spending his spare time in
the mountains. After a couple years of playing junior hockey, he decided to move on and further his
education.
As a graduate from BCIT he launched a very successful career as a Power Engineer, gaining experience
in the pulp & paper, heavy metals, and oil & gas industries. Meanwhile, he found a way to give back to his
community by coaching the local Midget Rep (15-18, year-old boys) hockey team.
Brandon’s real estate aspirations were borne out of his initial success in Power Engineering. “I began as
an investor, and bought a 1969 single family home that was in original condition. With a lot of skills that I
learned from my father and a few borrowed tools, I completely modernized the house and turned it into a
profitable, cash-flowing, rental property.” After that, together with his brother he started acquiring
additional residential rental properties and built a modest portfolio of cashflow-positive real estate.
“The more I became involved in real estate; the more I was drawn to it.” Eventually, Brandon decided to
transition into a full-time career as a licensed Realtor®, Property Manager, and investor. “Now, I am happier
than ever to be sharing my knowledge, experience and expertise with buyers, sellers and investors of
residential real estate.”
While Brandon is proud to be a Realtor®, he says there are sometimes misconceptions about Realtor®s’ role
in their client’s transactions. “I am an agent, not a salesperson, and to me that is a very important
distinction. As your Realtor®, I am not selling anything TO you, I am working FOR you. I am legally
and, more importantly, morally bound to act in your best interest. I take that pledge very
seriously.”
He goes on to say, “I’m here to guide my clients through a complex process with a lot of moving parts,
and that includes sharing my team of professionals such as lenders, home inspectors, lawyers,
tradespeople and movers. There is a lot more that goes into buying and selling real estate than just
showing a property and writing a contract. My job does not end when the sold sign goes up.”
Anyone interested in knowing the value of their home will always receive a free, honest, no-obligation
market evaluation, says Brandon. “I always offer a customized marketing plan for each instance,” he
adds, “because every house is different and every homeowner’s needs are different.”
Whether you are a first-time homebuyer, amateur investor, relocating to Edmonton, or climbing the
property ladder, Brandon can help you with all of your real estate needs.
